  • What experience do I need to become a centertec franchise owner?

    You do not have to have a lot of prior technical experience or knowledge of VR games, but some basic familiarity with computers and technology is beneficial. We are primarily seeking franchisees who are motivated business entrepreneurs who will be actively involved in the operations of their centertec locations. We also look for individuals who are high-energy and who have great customer service skills, to help us bring the incredible centertec experience to customers of all ages!

  • What is provided as part of the centertec franchise system?

    We will provide up to ten days of headquarters-based training prior to the launch of your centertec business. We will also spend up to three days providing on-site training at your centertec location, around the time of your Grand Opening. In addition, we will present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your center properly on a day-to-day basis.

  • How much will the centertec franchise investment cost me?

    The projected initial investment range for a single start-up franchise ranges from $1,023,691 to $1,762,240 for a large enclosed mall location or between $567,753 to $1,147,950 for a smaller enclosed mall location. These investment ranges include an initial franchise fee of $40,000. As with any new venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your business.

  • Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?

    Franchisees will pay a royalty fees equal to 5% of revenues. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of products and services, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

  • Are there any advertising fees?

    Franchisees will be required, starting Month 4 of operations, to spend a minimum of the greater of 4% of revenues or $2,500 per month on local marketing and promotional efforts in their markets. (This is in addition to any marketing costs that must be paid to a mall-based landlord.) Franchisees will also contribute up to 3% of revenues (initially, this will be set at a reduced amount of 1%) into the system marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the centertec brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.

  • Is financing available?

    We do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending resources, on a case-by-case basis.

  • What is the term of the franchise agreement?

    The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with two additional successor agreement options of five years each.
